Seek Driver Volunteers For OEO Transportation

Hoosick Falls Policy Advisory Council of the Rensselaer County Commission on Economic Opportunity met at the OEO office on Feb 27. They plan to request women’s church groups to volunteer to form a transportation corps for families to attend clinics and doctor appointments. A Day Care committee was formed with Mrs. Beulah Crowley as temporary chair. An interested reader proposed low income housing, noting a Niagara Mohawk subsidiary could fund moderate housing in nearby urban areas including Troy. The group will invite Niagara Mohawk to April's meeting to discuss a Hoosick Falls project. Next meeting is March 13 at 8 p.m. at the OEO Center, 4 Third St. Public welcome.
