Replacing linoleum with floor tiles
Mosaic tiles are glued to 12 by 12 inch sheets and require removing the linoleum, sanding the floor to remove mastic, and possibly raising the toilet flange for tile projection. If the floor is solid and level, tiles can be laid directly on wood with underlayment if needed. Use a serrated trowel, work in small areas, and allow 24 hours for setting before grouting.
