Viet Cong Rebels Slay Missionaries
AP report from Saigon details the execution by firing squad of an American missionary Elwood Jacobsen of Foreston Minnesota and a Filipino missionary while their wives and children watched. Two Filipino youths were wounded but survived. the Vietnamese driver of another car was killed at the same ambush. The victims had worked for the Summer Linguistic Institute studying tribal languages in South Viet Nam for about six months.
