FCC to authorize 45 citizen band channels in July

FCC chief engineer Ray Spence announced at the Summer Consumer Electronics Show that 17 new channels and five Class C radio control channels will be added to the existing 23 CB Class D air lanes, bringing total to 45. The note touches a July date and a Dothan Alabama CB Convoy Festival planned for July 31 and August 1 featuring Hank Williams Jr., Willie Nelson, and others, with convoys from across the country.
