Medical Building Plan Vetoed
The Bennington Village Zoning Board of Adjustment denied the appeal by Mr. and Mrs. Townsend Wellington and agent T. Garry Buckley to convert their home at 300 Dewey St into medical offices. Zoning Administrator A. Sidney Edson had denied the permit citing A-1 district limits. The board found no basis in the ordinance to grant a variance and stated variances require special circumstances and to avoid hardship, must stay in harmony with the ordinance.
