Dairy Group Spends 8 Million To Promote Milk Sales
Charles F. Jacobsen, Northeast membership director of the American Dairy Association, said the group’s fluid milk promo budget rose from 7.009 million in 1962 to 8.008 million in 1964. He noted major promotion across 30 TV stations, 18,400 programs on radio, subway posters, dominant newspapers, and outdoor ads in markets from Washington to Boston. He attributed rising New England Class I prices to stronger fluid milk sales and urged continued industry led programs to counter substitutes.
