Local farm visits delight Bennington first second graders
About 120 first and second graders from the Bennington Graded School District visited the Horst farms on West Road. George and Albert Horst run milk and eggs, with their wives Mrs Fannie and Mrs Virginia Horst serving as hosts. Accompanying teachers included Mrs Margaret Muchmore Mrs Betty White and helpers Mrs Mildred Wheeler. Students toured the henhouse barn hayfield and farm pond then enjoyed a box lunch and hay wagon rides before returning home.
