45 Students Promoted at Manchester Elementary School
Graduation exercises in the MES gym honored 45 graduates with diplomas. Top awards went to Mar jory Anne Wall and multi awardees Joan M. Thompson and Alison T. Otis. Principal Robert P. Wood praised Richard W. Farley for most improvement and noted other top students in English, history, writing, and reading essays.

Dorset Strawberry Festival Reservations Save Seats
The annual Strawberry Festival will be held Thursday June 20 in the vestry of the United Church of Dorset and East Rupert. First seating at 5 30 pm and second at 7 pm with tickets sold in advance at McWayne's Jewelers and Gilbert's Hardware Store to insure a supper seat. Sponsored by the United Church Women’s Fellowship and directed by Martha organizers Mrs Frederick Gilbert and Mrs J Ford Shroder.

Hills host open house after Linda Beth Hill graduation
Sunderland Mr and Mrs Earle Hill entertained seventy five relatives and friends at an open house and buffet supper Sunday following their daughter Linda Beth Hill's graduation from Burr and Burton Seminary where she was an honor student and recipient of the Seminary Commercial Award. A large party attended the Burr and Burton Seminary Alumni Banquet at Mount Anthony Country Club. Mrs Daniel O Healy and Mrs Hazel Canty are noted in the news. Mr Julius Hill and family recently visited Allan Hills in Cornwall and Mrs Gladys Fippinger of Great Neck L I, a former resident of West Arlington, was a guest of Mrs Jerome Hill.
