Antiwar activist aids LBJ and edits memoirs at Harvard
Doris H. Kearns, Harvard political science teacher and antiwar activist, has become a confidante of former President Johnson and helps edit his memoirs for Holt Rinehart & Winston. She travels between Cambridge and Texas gathering Johnson files and prompting memory, while leading Peace Action and teaching about the American Presidency.
