Engineer denies floodwall safety concerns at Mt Anthony site
Capt. James Olsen who supervised floodwall work behind Mt Anthony Union High School rejected claims by Williams College student James Cornell that the dike would fail to shield the Vermont Veterans' Home in a major flood. Olsen said the wall is designed to protect the area from a 1927-scale flood and noted Cornell showed little interest in the dike. The Banner previously carried Cornell's critique after his environmental study.
