Prospect School grants may fund six week summer workshop
Mrs. Marion Taylor administrator of Prospect School in North Bennington announced two foundations have awarded $30,000 to support the school's summer workshop. The Noyes Foundation and the Carnegie Foundation will give $15,000 each to fund sending four administrators and eight teachers from New York City and the Windham Southwest Supervisory Union to the Prospect School's six week program.

Bennington Day Care Inc has purchased the former Bond residence at 238 Union St from Mr. and Mrs. Leo Miller for a generous price. AEC proposes strict radiation limits for public near plants
The Atomic Energy Commission on Monday urged tighter exposure limits for the public from nuclear power plants. The draft rules would cap nearby residents’ exposure at less than 0.5 percent of natural radiation, and plant conformity would keep public exposure at 1 percent or less of current federal guidelines. Only a few plants now exceed the 1 percent threshold, including Humboldt Bay near Eureka, California, and Dresden.

HUD official denies dining with Al BOSTON
A federal official listed on a voucher as dining with Vermont Development Secretary Elbert G. Moulton Jr. today denied attending the dinner.
