Family Court staff dispute in Troy over county attorney
In Troy Rensselaer County lawmakers debate a resolution to reverse a Family Court order approving a full time assistant county attorney for Family Court cases. The Democrats back the move and have already sent John H. Cogan Jr. to challenge the order in state appellate court. A decision was expected today or Friday. The four page ruling accuses Marvin I. Honig of opposing the legislature and conflicting with county obligations to the people. In Troy, UDC works hard on Uncle Sam Mall negotiations seeking an $8 million first phase with a potential builder, while URA monitors options and tenants.
