Sixth Graders Stage Theater Project At Molly Stark
Sixth graders completed a theater unit with rehearsal and a student body performance in the school's all purpose room. Ellie Fink from Hoosick Falls Little Theater judged, awarding a prize for a play about a Halloween night family turning into monsters. Mrs. Lariviere says the project built theater theory and teamwork, while inspiring ongoing creativity and future projects. Ricky Howe has written a second play, with three girls also developing works. Drama consultant Mrs. Sherman, a Bennington College graduate, will aid teachers across ten Southwestern Vermont districts with similar programs and aims to embed drama in curricula.
