Bennington College preschool mural sparks curiosity and learning
At Bennington College a Head Start class of 35 from Shaftsbury and Rural Bennington engages in an eight week pre school project funded by federal anti poverty funds. Children explore letters colors and stories while teachers guide group discussions and art. Tommy a curious five to seven year old learns about a retired Model A engine as part of hands on discovery. Mr Hamilton, a Shaftsbury resident with Harvard credentials, oversees the program.
