The Southern District of the Green Mountain National Forest runs three other recreation areas hapgood Pond in Peru White Rock picnic area in Wallingford and the Greendale picnic area in Weston. The proposed Billings Pond project would be the largest area in the Forest services District. Both men stressed need for the new facility.
