Murder By Death review finds clever premise but thin material
Milton R Bass says Neil Simon spoof of classic detectives at Cinema I Bennington relies on puns and sight gags. Cast carries laughs though many scenes feel flat and the satire circles the same clichés, leaving the viewer drained rather than amused. Alec Guinness anchors the performance with wit.

Waste of a cast in a misguided spoof film
The Berkshire Eagle reviewers roast this spoof featuring Coco Falk Lanchester Sellers Brennan Niven Smith Walker Capote Moore Stark and a tech crew. They say the cast is wasted and Truman Capote is awful while director Moore falters and the humor pales beside Mel Brooks Young Frankenstein. Some may love it, but the reviewer does not.
