Twisters Lead P.A.L. League With 3 Wins
Chip Durocher's Twisters powered to a 15-1 rout of Ricky Fothergill's Road Runners at Memorial Park in the third P.A.L. contest. The Twisters opened a five-run second inning and held the Road Runners to a lone run. Earlier, at Alumni Field, the Twisters beat Lou Tomasi's Land Liers 11-1 as they seized control with big first and second innings. Durocher earned the win in both games, with Plante taking the loss in the latter. Standings show the Twisters atop the league as of July 17.
