Bennington Republicans Name Three Nominees in Short Caucus
In a brief GOP caucus Bennington named Salvatore Santarcangelo as interim selectman for District 3-3 J C Jerome for District 3-1 and Ormal Pierce Sr for District 3-2 with no opposition. Last week two 3-3 nominees included Charles E Dewey III but he was not listed now. Pierce a village trustee and Tree Care chair spoke to 55 attendees, up from 35. John H Williams II was elected presiding officer Catherine Dermody secretary and Mary Hodeck urged filling vacancies before the Aug 11 election.

Nine Crown Ship Sinks in Seaway
