Rainfall Sparse Yet No Water Shortage In Bennington

Bennington area rainfall remains below normal but no shortage. Water Board says no new use restrictions beyond permanent ones. Lawn sprinklers are banned. Lake Hancock sits about eight inches below normal, not critical, with pumps planned from Morgan Spring if needed. Officials seek to conserve lake water for possible fall drought and will draw from other springs along the mountain pipeline. Heavy weekend rain aided the water supply.
