Fines for speeding and drag racing hit two Bennington men in Hoosick Falls
Hoosick Falls village court fined Howard Palmatier 18 of Hicks Avenue $200 for speeding, marking his third offense in three weeks with a total $265. Gary McIntire 16 of Star Route Bennington was fined $100 on a speeding count. The cases followed complaints of drag racing on Ball Street near Green Acres. Local officials plan to involve Town Board, sheriff, and state police, and report to a developer. A separate Open Container case led to Monday court dates for Michael Scarey 18 and Nancy Postle 18. A wallet found during the band concert prompted owner notification. A Girl Scout Day Camp exhibit is now in the Record window at 25 Main Street.
