Manchester Dump Closed To Dorset
Manchester selectmen inform Dorset that the Manchester dump facilities will not be available to Dorset after January 1. The town plans a new sanitary landfill site north of the current dump on land owned by Orrin H. Beattie with tentative leasing at $100 a month starting October 1. The move aims to meet state requirements and extend life for about ten years, while Dorset’s use would reduce Manchester's revenue by about $3,000, though officials deem it negligible.
