Brezhnev Weeps At State Funeral For Soyuz 11 Crew
In Moscow Brezhnev wept before open coffins of Georgi Dobrovolsky Vladislav Volkov and Viktor Patsayev as tens of thousands mourned the Soyuz 11 crew. Autopsies and flight records are reviewed to explain their deaths after return from Salyut. The bodies will be buried Friday in the Kremlin Wall after a state funeral in Red Square.

Largest one day GI withdrawal amid DMZ fighting
More than 6,000 American GIs including a tank battalion of the last full US armor unit near the DMZ received orders to leave Vietnam in the day’s largest one day withdrawal. Garrison frames bribery charges in federal case
