CLC eases steel shortages boosts big producers prices
The Cost of Living Council moved to ease steel shortages for energy sectors by removing price ceilings on hot rolled rod and reinforcing steel and approving about 65 million in price increases for 26 large producers. It lifted controls on many smaller specialty products and ordered a temporary hold on further big-plant boosts until a broader price review is finished. Shortages have hampered oil drilling and coal mining, with pipe and mine bolts in tight supply.
