Sled Dogs Draw Crowds At Mt. Snow Base Lodge

At Mt Snow Base Lodge in West Dover Vermont sled dogs draw visitors as Roland Bowles demonstrates teams of Siberian Huskies and other breeds harnessed to a 150 pound sled. Bowles has about 30 pedigreed dogs including four Novya Zembyas and an Alaskan Eskimo with pups in training. The dogs pull with instinct and training, offering half mile rides for Mount Snow visitors on weekends. Bowles notes his kennel humorously hosts a brook running through it and emphasizes care and selective use of each dog.
