Sermon urges learning one new fact about Catholicism
In Hoolick Falls New York the First Baptist pastor Rev John Y Elliott urged parishioners to learn at least one new fact about the Roman Catholic faith during Octave of Christian Unity week. He said Protestants and Catholics should not be enemies and highlighted unity in Jesus Christ while noting the observance has grown since its evangelical roots in 1847. The cost and future of the town playground program were also discussed with a study recommending $1,500 total for eight weeks of supervision and maintenance funded by taxpayers.
