Education Board Tables St Albans Voc Ed Center
Orleans UPI The state Education Board tabled a measure to let Bellows Free Academy St Albans build a vocational center on its current site. Deputy Commissioner Daniel O Connor requested a waiver on site size though only about 13 acres exist vs the 31 needed. Mary Miller of Waterbury Center opposed the waiver saying it would violate board standards, while O Connor warned land expansion options are very limited and Commissioner Harvey Scribner would study the matter.
