Seabrook plant relief as 14 page compromise clears permit
Concord officials and company negotiators reach a 14 page late night accord allowing final state approval of a 1.2 billion Seabrook nuclear plant marsh permit. The agreement grants the Fish and Game Department broad regulatory power if ocean discharge harms fish, with mandatory power reductions and alternative cooling plans if damage occurs. Final state approval expected by early next week before the February 1 deadline.
