Dr Rowe on Prospects for Negotiated Peace in Vietnam
Bennington College professor Dr Leonard Rowe told the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship that the United States is unlikely to accept North Vietnam’s unconditional talks offers. He argued the administration seeks military victory, not a settlement, citing repeated missed negotiation chances, reciprocity demands, and the 17th parallel as a temporary line. About 25 attendees joined a discussion at the Bennington Free Library.
