Crafts Fair Returns to Bennington This Year
The annual Creative Crafts Fair in Bennington, sponsored by ACC North east region, is set for July 9 to 12. Co chairs are David Crowell and Harold B Helwig with plans for a wholesale day before opening. Last year drew at least 8,000 visitors from 100 craftsmen. organizers expect 1970 to be similar or larger.

The Bennington Child Day Care Center will relocate Monday to First Methodist Church on Main Street, moving toys books food and sleeping mats from its ten month old Ben Mont Avenue site. A committee from the center and church arranged the transition for smoother daily activities with open floor space a kitchen and child sized bathroom. The rent free space brings financial relief offset by church utilities as needed. Plans also include mid March activities to mark the center's first anniversary in 1969.
