Parsons paints tiny seasides in Vermont show
THOMAS PARSONS presents a one man exhibition of small works at the Southern Vermont Artists Union St Gallery Manchester. He paints shorelines with detailed rigging and sky but the larger canvases feel crowded and uneven, limiting the show as winter openings begin. In Williamstown the Clark Art Institute colors winter with 20 drawings by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo and other 18th century European artists from its permanent collection. The Tiepolo ceiling frescoes highlight Baroque flourishes and the exhibition runs through February.
