Yankee Atomic says storage will cover fuel to 1980s
Yankee Atomic Electric president Donald G. Allen rejects reports of an imminent shutdown at the Rowe plant due to spent fuel storage. He says the plant has three years of normal discharge capacity and is expanding to handle through the early 1980s, with reprocessing expected to resume by 1978. He notes nationwide need for more reprocessors and asserts current storage can accept all reactor fuel. The extended NWS outlook follows with mainly fair weather and possible snow Thursday.
