A F Torrisi dies in Route 7 crash Shaftsbury Vermont
Alfred F. Torrisi 56 of Arlington died in a head on Route 7 crash in Shaftsbury about 11:30 a.m. He was Bennington County's first automobile fatality of 1974. Milton R. Blum 38 of Yonkers and passenger Charles F. Blum 22 of Yonkers were injured and taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital. Torrisi's 1972 Volvo and Blum's 1972 Pontiac were demolished. Road conditions were slick from snow and freezing rain. Torrisi founded Tansitor Electronics Co. and retired in 1966.
