Newport Electric Firm Seeks Reversal of PSB Ruling

Newport Citizens Utility Co asks the Vermont Supreme Court to overturn a PSB ruling denying permission to receive New York state power at additional transmission points in Newport South Albury and Burton Hill. The company already has access at Highgate and argues the board acted arbitrarily. The PSB will contend the plan rests on economy and performance and that none of the proposed points existed before Velco's transmission system.
