Major changes set for Eastern States
Western Massachusetts reports major renovations and a new 1972 schedule for the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield. G W Wynne, executive VP, outlines a $4.75 million modernization started with the Coliseum, plus upgrades to utilities, parking, restrooms, turnstiles, landscaping, and a 10 day fair expansion. Plans include a three day rodeo, Governors Day changes, and new events while seeking additional revenue sources. The fair runs September 15 24.
