Area Ski Shop Robbed By Selective Thieves
SPEIGLETOWN N Y More than ten thousand dollars worth of high quality skis and skiing equipment were stolen over the weekend from the Rock Candy Mountain Ski Bowl shop in Rensselaer County north of Troy. Thieves used drills and saws to cut through a wall from the patrol room where they may have hidden. Manager Richard Rockwell said exact loss will be set after inventory. missing items are all top quality. About 60 pairs of skis boots bindings plus an amplifier and tape recorder were taken. Theft was found Sunday at 8 a m after patrol room opened following a Saturday night close. State Police from Center Brunswick are investigating.
