Wilson Named To State Post
MONTPELIER UPD Gov. Philip H Hoff appointed Robert M Wilson of Bennington as Vermonts new commissioner of development. Wilson 44 was the unanimous choice of the Development Board and will take over from Elbert G Moulton who resigned after election as state Republican chairman. Hoff called him a solid fit with background energy and imagination. Wilson, owner of a Bennington auto agency and former Democratic senator, has long served on the Highway Board and holds degrees from Brown and MIT. He resided in Bennington 12 years and has held school district posts in the past.
