Soviets Propose Talks on West Berlin in Ambassadorial Format

Vermont Container Sues Garrison for Unpaid Bills

Vermont Container Corp. of Bennington filed a suit in Bennington County Court seeking about 18,000 dollars from Garrison Printing Division Inc. of New York City for bills from September to December 1969. The case, entered Jan. 23 by George M. Fienberg, names Cummings and Moss for the defendant and includes an attachment on Garrison’s account and bank statements indicating insufficient funds. News notes follow: Garrison reorganized its top management after founder William H. Garrison died Jan. 13, and the North Bennington plant announced a temporary layoff of about 100 workers.

Stamford Rejects Developer Zoning Change Plan

Stamford officials ruled to send the proposed zoning ordinance to Town Meeting voters with forest zoning unchanged affecting 3,400 acres owned by Frank T. Opie of Ayer.
