Washington based House Armed Services Committee warns morale of U S military reservists has eroded threatening program viability. In a largely party line 27 to 1 vote the panel approves a reserve reorganization bill amid claims of chaos from Defense Department civilian backup cuts and failed support to reserve components. The plan would keep Army reserve and National Guard as separate entities with fixed strengths of 260000 and 380000 respectively.
