Listers revise 95% policy amid reappraisal push in Bennington
Listers revise their 95 per cent sale price policy due to inflation in southern Vermont and the need to be fair to new owners. They propose a town reappraisal with $60,000 funding from March Town Meeting to remove inequities and curb reliance on the 95 per cent formula. Frank Hogan is the lone full time lister, with two part timers, facing criticism from residents and a Democrat candidate who seeks equity in property taxation.
