Six Cent Valentines Postage Highlights Changes
Postage for Valentines one ounce or lighter is six cents. First class rate supports jet flight service for Valentines to servicemen in Vietnam and overseas, plus airlift for domestic addresses over 250 miles from the mailing point. Legislation effective Jan 7 ends the four cent greeting card rate. High card volumes before Feb 14 will strain postal facilities nationwide.
