Women hitchhiking study taunts Seattle traffic norms
In Seattle UPI reports Dr. Joan Lockard of the University of Washington found that women hitchhikers who emphasize bust lines improve pickup odds. Experiments with four students showed eye contact and posture aided progress, with padded garments adding two inches to bust lines. In Trenton, Councilman Kalinowski urged licensing prostitutes to reduce downtown traffic jams, but the council noted state law prohibits prostitution and set the proposal for study.
