Wilbur J Frey Featured At Village Gallery
Wilbur J Frey’s landscape paintings will be shown at the Village Gallery of the Southern Vermont Art Center in Manchester from February 8 to 22. Frey, a former New York Telephone Co executive now resident in West Poultney Vermont, is a self taught artist focusing on Vermont scenes. An opening reception on Union Street, and a February 7 lecture by James L Montague will accompany the show.

Temple Reopens in Frejus After 23 Years
France's only Buddhist temple Hong-Tien-Tu in Frejus reopened Sunday after 23 years. Built for colonial troops, the temple closed in 1945 and has now resumed religious services and community events.

Green Mountain College to host Vermont Brass Quintet
The Green Mountain College Chamber Music Series presents the Vermont Brass Quintet this Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the East Room of Witney Hall. The public is invited. The program includes Suite for Brass Quintet, Bernstein’s Fanfare for Bima, Sharagan and Fugue by Hovhaness, Four Movements for Brass Quintet by Jones, and two 16th Century polyphonic songs.
