Bill Would Put Village Water Co Under State PSB Jurisdiction
Vermont legislators consider a bill to bring municipally operated water systems, including Bennington Village Water Department serving Old Bennington and nearby areas, under the Public Service Board. If approved, PSB oversight would cover reports, rates, obligations, and water quality to ensure fair service. The bill, from Rep. Mildred Hayden and Rep. Wallace Booth, moves to the House Municipal Corporations Committee.
