Snelling taps Peters for Administration
Gov Richard Snelling named Ralph Peters as secretary of administration, moving toward filling four of five state superagencies. Peters, 49, former deputy human services secretary, will overhaul the agency to be less political and more service oriented to state departments. A separate note says the National Association of Social Workers may drop ex Champlain Valley program director Alan Prager amid a past lewd conduct case, with appeal possible and a meeting set for Jan 10 in Burlington. An autopsy was ordered for Howard Page, 37, of Georgia, who died in a beverage truck crash on Interstate 89 near here.
