A lone musician rests as four Finckel family members and others perform Christmas music on the Old First Church floor. The informal event invited any instrument player to join in works by Bach Leopold Mozart and Corelli while the audience sang carols and joined Handel's Hallelujah Chorus. Arranged by Charles Dewey III, it marked the second annual affair.

Fiery Pownal Crash Claims Two Men
Two Massachusetts men died in a early morning one car crash on Route 346 in Pownal Vermont. Driver Dixon J. Goodrow and passenger Edward H. Conti died at the scene from injuries sustained when the 1976 Cadillac left the road and hit a tree before burning. A bystander pulled the victims to safety before responders arrived. The deaths push Bennington County road toll higher and were reviewed by the regional medical examiner.
