Napoleon's Son Buried Near His Father At Invalides
The ashes of Francois Napoleon son of Napoleon Bonaparte were interred near his father at the Invalides in Paris last week. The Eaglet, as he was known, died in 1832 at Schonbrunn Austria and was named King of Rome by Napoleon. The procession was watched by the Prince and Princess Napoleon and 14 republican guards. Hitler had returned the remains to France in 1940 to sway Petain to move to Paris, a move he refused.
