Bennington District Court Sentences Burdick on Peace Charge
In Bennington, Judge John P Morrissey sentenced Henry Burdick to not more than one year in jail for a December 11 breach of the peace in Pownal. The jail term was suspended and Burdick placed on probation with orders to consult probation-named agencies. Other court actions include Jelley seeking trial on hunting license and peace charges, Morse Jr fined for careless driving, and numerous guilty pleas and waivers for assorted offenses in and around Bennington. Representatives Joseph Caracciola and George Van Santvoord attended the Southern Vermont Snow Goers meeting at the Eagle Hose Firehouse on December 14. They said any snowmobile bill passed would affect next season. a volunteer rescue service was discussed with Trooper Bailey present. The club signed members for the Northeast Kingdom Ride-In on February 19-20 and planned a Mt. Tabor ride for December 19.
