Supreme Court Fines Tax Breaks For White Academies

The Supreme Court upheld revoking federal tax exemptions for white academies in Mississippi unless they show nondiscriminatory policies. The case, started by Negro parents in Holmes County, cites 1965 private schools to perpetuate segregation. Nixon aides hail devaluation plan creating U.S. jobs

A weekend currency agreement devalues the dollar by 7.89 percent and raises foreign currencies by about 12 percent, with administration officials predicting 500,000 to 750,000 new American jobs as exports gain and imports costlier.
