County urged to renovate former Miller's Super Market

Rensselaer County legislators consider converting the former Miller's Super Market on Church Street into a consolidated services center for the county Public Health Department and other offices. The Hoosick Senior Service Center would also move to the basement. If approved, the plan aims to serve northern and eastern county residents, with a tour planned of the crowded health office and senior center. The Health Department now operates in a private home with inadequate space and privacy, serving a 30 mile radius. The Miller building offers more than 10,000 square feet for this purpose.
