Former Priest on Way to U S After Defection to Russia
Harold M. Koch a 35 year old ex priest who defected to the Soviet Union says he plans to return to the United States after Christmas to visit his ailing father settle down and perhaps marry He defended his right to free speech while in Moscow and said he left only after stating his father was in poor health in Chicago Koch appeared in a university town and said Soviet authorities were reluctant to allow his departure He will travel to Chicago where his parents expressed hope for his return and Koch emphasized his love for America

ALA Urges Moratorium On Car Insurance Hikes
Boston UPI The Auto Mobile Legal Association urged a halt to compulsory auto insurance rate hikes. Alphonse Query Jr. called the 12.7 percent proposed rise and six percent tentative approval a crisis, proposing using 1966 rates as a temporary ceiling until legislative action. The group pressed repeal of compulsory insurance and warned of a referendum if lawmakers fail to act.
